Tips & Tricks:
- If You Don't Have All the Materials: I highly recommend using all of the materials listed, because it makes it look significantly nicer. However, you can get by with just printing on white cardstock and using white copy paper.
- If You Want to Make This Gift Easier: Print page 1 twice and only use the top two bricks. When gluing on the last brick side, only glue one edge. This will create a large "door" into the brick block. It won't be as sturdy, but it'll work.
- I smashed the cardboard down before gluing the pieces onto it. This makes the edges of the cardboard a little less visible when gluing the brick block together. I found it best to just run the handle of my scissors along the entire surface.
- I used the hot glue gun to glue the brick block together and a slower drying glue for the question blocks.
- The note papers are 2.25" x 0.5".
- When gluing the print-outs to the cardboard, make sure to apply glue liberally so that all edges and corners are glued properly.
Happy gifting!
